DON'T LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN WILD!

I have this memory of visiting a zoo when I was a kid.

I remember standing in front of a cage where a giant giraffe stood on the other side (just like in the photo below). I remember feeling so small in its midst and suddenly it reached its head over the fence and licked, or nearly licked my head with its long black tongue.

(To this day I’m not sure if it really happened or if I imagined it) ;)

How often do we feel this same way in the midst of our own GIANTS?

How often do we IMAGINE that we are going to get LICKED by our enemy when life feels like a zoo all around us?

How often do we compare ourselves to our circumstances and feel minuscule- like grasshoppers?

And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Numbers 13:33

How often do Giant obstacles stand in the way of blessings and in between what God is trying to accomplish in our lives?

Children of God- DON'T LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN WILD!!

Often we come face to face with Great Adversity just on the other side of Greater Victory!

Too often we imagine the Worst possibilities instead of prophesying the Best of our abilities because of God’s infinite capabilities!

Too often we despair in doubt and cower in fear.

Too often we FORGET WHO WE ARE and we FORGET WHO OUR GOD IS in the midst of these GIANTS.

But what if we remembered? :)

What if we stood firm in the face of our adversary and declared prophetically just as David did when he faced Goliath?

David said to the Philistine,

“You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.

1 Samuel 17:45-46

The same God that battled Goliath and secured the victory for David, stands before us today!

We should not be standing small as frightened children, we are called to RISE ABOVE the giants and MOVE BEYOND adversity into A PLACE OF VICTORY AND REST.

This day, take up your SWORD (the Word of God) and fight!

Who does GOD say you are?

CUT THE HEAD OFF of fear, doubt, discouragement, and intimidation!

Do not give up HOPE!

BREAK THROUGH the Barrier and ENTER into your PROMISED LAND!

Remember- You Are A CHILD OF GOD!

Remember- The BATTLE is His!

Remember- The VICTORY is yours!

May God be with you!
